Part of my ‘Conversations with the Sky’ series. Each day I make a limited edition piece informed by the sky: how it makes me feel, what it reminds me of, the things I can see. This is a dialogue and a collaboration with the space above.
Day 5/30: The reflection of the sun and clouds in the water gave my mind and body a big feeling of ‘ahhhh’.
The concept of glimmers is part of Polyvagal theory and describes how our autonomic nervous system (which controls involuntary actions like breathing) is searching for and reading cues to determine if they are dangerous. Glimmers are moments of pure joy and make us feel calm, connected and regulated.
